Experience design project aimed at enhancing the tourist experience in a big city. This service encourages users to enhance their time in the city through maximizing memories and minimizing stress and research.
app design
The ChicaGO App offers users an easy way to plan experiences during their time in the city. It recommends customized activities based on the user’s location within the city, how far they are willing to travel from their current location, and how much time they would like to spend at the destination.
ticketing
With an increasing trend of moving everything digital, ChicaGo offers a way to still collect physical reminders of trips through having ticket printing machines at partnering destinations. Each printer has a photo booth camera for guests to add a picture to personalize their tickets and includes the date and any special events or exhibitions during the time of their visit.
As someone who loves having souvenirs and small keepsakes from trips, I miss having physical copies of things that I can remember the trip by. Before everything was stored in my virtual wallet, I used to keep every plane ticket, museum map, and travel brochure I collected. I thought this would be a fun way to offer these same experiences to others, even as the digital age progresses.
Wayfinding
ChicaGO also delegates easy pick-up zones for guests using ride-share services. Marked by an overhead light post banner and a sidewalk sticker, these are easy to spot locations where users can plan to meet their drivers, eliminating confusing descriptions of surroundings when they may not know the area well and trying to make it to the location without a wait for the driver.
